Glendale High School was founded in 1911 and is one of the longest-standing high schools in the state of Arizona. Glendale is the original school in the Glendale Union High School District and to this day it enrolls nearly 1,700 students. Glendale has been continuously listed on U.S. News & World Report's Best High School Ranking list. Glendale is also part of the College Board’s 2013 National Advanced Placement District of the Year. Along with its educational excellence, Glendale boasts several opportunities for students to be involved in extracurricular activities. Glendale High School is located in Glendale, AZ off 62nd Avenue and Glendale Avenue.
