Advanced Placement Physics students are currently studying energy. Using a pendulum, students can measure the height displacement to determine the initial amount of gravitational potential energy. Using a motion sensor at the bottom of the pendulum, students can measure the velocity to determine the final kinetic energy. Together, this information is used to prove the Law of Conservation of Energy. Never a dull moment in AP Physics!
