The Glendale Cardinal Marching Band performed the National Anthem before kickoff between Kansas and UNLV at the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. The Fiesta Bowl representatives who coordinate both local bowl games said, "Your students sounded beautiful, and we couldn’t have been happier that your band was able to play The Star-Spangled Banner for all those in attendance. I must say that it was one of my favorite performances and am very glad that the loud fireworks didn’t throw anyone off beat!"
