The Glendale Culinary FCCLA chapter attended and competed at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference, and the kids crushed it! Our students competed against 2,000 students from around the state and brought home a ton of awards

Itzanami Ramos Ramirez competed in Cake Decorating and received a Bronze Medal

Elianet Piedra competed in Cake Decorating and received a Silver Medal

Christopher Valle competed in Chicken Fabrication and received a Silver Medal

Citlalli Orozco Alejandres competed in Chicken Fabrication and received a Gold Medal

Kimberly Orozco Alejandres competed in Culinary Display - Composed Dessert and received a Silver Medal

Daisy Orozco Alejandres competed in Culinary Display - Composed Dessert and received a Silver Medal

Argelia Aguilera competed in Culinary Display - Cookies and received a Gold Medal

Isa Lopez competed in Cupcake Decorating and received a Silver Medal

Rihanna Jefferson competed in the Mise En Place Challenge and took 1st Place and received a Gold Medal

Arianna Frank competed in Baking and Pastry. Arianna took 1st Place, received a Gold Medal and a $2,000 renewable scholarship from the Culinary Institute of America and she will be representing the State of Arizona at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Seattle this summer for the 2nd consecutive year.

Carolina Verdugo competed in Baking and Pastry. Carolina took 2nd Place, received a Gold Medal and a $1,500 renewable scholarship from the Culinary Institute of America and she will be representing the State of Arizona at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Seattle this summer for the 2nd consecutive year.

Jae'Marie Newton competed in the Culinary Arts event. Jae'Marie took 1st Place, received a Gold Medal and a $2,000 renewable scholarship from the Culinary Institute of America and she will be representing the State of Arizona at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Seattle this summer for the 2nd consecutive year.

Our chapter was recognized and received the FCCLA Bronze Chapter Award.

Lastly, FCCLA awarded a $1,000 memorial scholarship in Tiffany Morris' name to a very deserving Early Childhood Education student who will be perusing a degree in education starting next year.
