Glendale Students Achieve with Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Glendale Students Isaiah Gonzalez, Jonathan Cabral-Moreno, Michel Delgado Oros, Serenity Garcia, Ximena Cortez, Joel Gomez Zamudio, and Emilee Narcia have been recognized at a national level through Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for their exceptional artworks.
"Each year, nearly 110,000 teens in grades 7–12 from the United States, Canada, and U.S. territories sign up and enter more than 310,000 to 340,000 original works of art and writing into the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. This makes it one of the largest and longest-running recognition programs for creative youth in the nation...[The awards serve] as a strong credential for college applications, especially for creative or writing-focused programs, showing significant talent and dedication."
The following are the awards given:
Gold Keys are awarded only to 5–7% of all regional submissions.
Silver Keys are awarded only to 7–10% of all regional submissions.
Honorable Mentions are awarded only to 15–20% of all regional submissions.
Our Honorable Mention awarded students are: Ximena Cortez, Joel Gomez Zamudio, and Emilee Narcia.
Our Silver Key awarded students are: Jonathan Cabral-Moreno, Michel Delgado Oros, and Serenity Garcia.
Our Gold Key awarded student is: Isaiah Gonzalez
These students will all receive certificates and pins honoring their achievements.
All of their artworks this year are truly extraordinary, and these students and their families should all be very proud.
