Mr. Brooks Leads Students on Campus Beautification Project

Approximately 30 students from Mr. Brooks's English 5/6 and 7/8 classes arrived at Glendale high School to take part in the first phase of revitalizing the campus. Together, the students planted over 60 desert plants and succulents in front of room 350 and behind room 360. The next phase will include shade sails raised outside of room 350 to help the desert plants grow and thrive. The final phase will be the arrival and planting of 4 new Mesquite trees planted in the quad and next to rooms 360 and 460. The trees are a true gift and a donation from Glendale City Councilperson, Leandro Baldenegro. Finally, Glendale's art teacher, Sherrie Zeoli, is designing and painting a new cardinal mural on the front of building 350. It is great to see such a diverse group of club members, students, faculty and staff come together to take part in the activities and revitalization of the historic Glendale campus.
