NJROTC Visits Tuzigoot National Monument and Sycamore Creek
Glendale’s NJROTC unit enjoyed a respite from the heat last Saturday October 1st with a trip to Tuzigoot National Monument where the kids got see the remnants of what life was like a thousand years ago in the South West and the specific architecture organic to the Sinagua Indians.  Prior to this visit, the cadets worked on their conditioning with a eight mile round-trip hike to Sycamore Creek where the fun meter was pegged with the kids swimming and jumping off cliffs into the frigid waters (55 degrees).  In all, a nice, safe, challenging trip that we look to repeat in the future.
