Drill Team Competes At Alhambra High School and Participates In “Volunteer Appreciation” Day

Glendale NJROTC Drill Team competed at a multi-state, multi-service drill meet at Alhambra High School on Saturday April 9th.  Different teams included: a varsity and junior varsity color guard, a four-man unarmed exhibition, a two-man unarmed exhibition, and a solo-armed exhibition.  The two-man unarmed team consisting of Jakeline and Joseline Lopez (twins) were exception en route to a first place finish among 39 different schools.  The junior varsity color guard outfitted by the Lopez twins, Ahmir Hasan, and Juan Yanez presented all the way to a second place finish.   

 

      Also on Saturday April 9th, Glendale High School’s NJROTC team participated in the Glendale Adult Center “Volunteer Appreciation” day and presented our nation’s colors.  Glendale’s Mayor Jerry Weiers was the guest speaker and duly impressed with the cadets contribution to the event.
