A WORD ABOUT PLAGIARISM
From the Latin “plagiarius” meaning kidnapper, plunderer, literary thief”; basically, “to take and pass off as one’s own (the ideas, writings, etc. of another).” It WILL NOT be tolerated! Give credit where credit is due, and cite any sources used to assemble a paper for this course. Students have a student resource book, which depicts the formats for citations (internal parenthetically and as a “works cited” page); if there are any questions, please ask. Consequences may include loss of credit for the semester in the course. See parent/student handbook regarding detailed consequences.
