Students, Parents, and Guardians of Glendale High School
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Kevin Cashatt, and I have been hired as the new Principal of Glendale High School. Last year, I moved to Glendale with my wife and two daughters from Flagstaff, Arizona. I come to you with nine years of education experience, four of which have been in administration. I am very excited to join one of Arizona's top high schools, districts and to be a part of the long traditions of Glendale High School. As your principal, I extend my support and guidance to each of you as we begin another excellent year. I urge each of you to take advantage of the many academic and extra-curricular opportunities that are available to you at Glendale.
I strongly believe that communication with parents and students is the most critical component in any school. From my perspective, it is easy to communicate with your child. After all, I see them every day and, to a certain extent, have them as a captive audience. On the other hand, communicating with parents can be much more challenging. Website postings such as this can be very effective, but also very impersonal. I much prefer a face-to-face dialog where we can share ideas, concerns, praise, or potential solutions to problems if they develop. With this in mind, I look forward to meeting many of you in person at our Open House September 24th or during one of our many extra-curricular events.
I also look forward to working with each of you and thank you in advance for the opportunity you have afforded me to work with your children. My office door is always open, and I welcome you to come in and talk.
